First iPad Project

Sibers has started development of the first application for iPad. Just few people in the world have touched this glossy gadget and our clients want to make sure their product comes along with the Apple's product launch. Read interview with our mobile team leader about possibilities of the new device and its worth to the market.

— Hi Igor, I see you are excited about this iPad project. So what’s so special about iPad?

— Well, I look at iPad as at a combination of iPhone with bigger Apple brothers running MasOS. On iPad you can have normal MacOS applications like the iWork suit together with most of iPhone apps. That’s not to mention apps created specially for iPad. Now Apple can sell their programs to everyone, just kidding!

— And it’s huge screen, it must be a real advantage over iPhone.

— Yes, absolutely, and still it is ultraportable. Now we can develop applications that were impossible on the tiny screen of iPhone. We can use better controls, put more information on one screen. You can really start thinking different. If you have to use lots of paper, photos, newspapers in your work — now you can carry them all in your iPad and demonstrate to your clients without hesitating to point to your iPhone, still a very personal thing. I am thinking of all those sales people, real estate agents, they can bring their presentation skills to a new level, for sure!
