Parking Automation
What we have done
We have created a one stop "parkingware", which has the following features: operator facility, optical plate recognition, barrier control, LCD message displaying, access control, vehicle management and tracking, various reports, notifications with embedded snapshots, police reports on stolen cars recognized.

Experience we used during the development process.
Development of this project required a lot of equipment - loop detection, cameras, LCD display, coin machine and what not; and it was senseless to send the whole lot that far for outsourcing developers. But actually it was even not that fundamentally - we can easily work remotely.
The customer imitated the whole process of parking. He set up all equipment: placed 4 LCD displays, 4 cameras, gate, etc; and gave us a remote access to computer, which the whole stuff was plugged in to. So the whole testing process took place in Spain in real time.
In the process of development we came across a lot of obstacles. One of them was, for example, the fact that we really needed visual control for equipment - loop detection has lots of leds and we needed to keep an eye on them. To help us the customer placed one more camera in front of loop detection. Also it was necessary for us to see what happened on the LCD display and one more camera provided for the total visual control.
First we thought that testing through the remote terminal without seeing all hardware requires tons of difficulties. Now we are proud that we had faced this challenge and successfully rounded it off.
