Description
Sibers Meetings is a code name for our own product, an application helping to arrange video meetings and chats with our customers. Our videochat connects a number of users in the room with their colleagues at a distance allowing them to exchange text messages, see each other and hear each other's comments in a real time mode as though they were sitting at the same round table. Whiteboards are a principal component of teleconferencing applications because they enable visual as well as audio communication. This is how we communicate between our offices and solve different working challenges. In fact, it is a full-featured online collaboration tool.
The application is developed in Action Script 3 without any third-party frameworks. All the inner logic of the application, however, is organized so that the GUI can be easily switched to Flex or AIR if needed, which adds certain flexibility. Server side of application is made with Red5 – an Open Source Flash Server. Our everyday work has already been facilitated due to its useful functionality.
